The Manzil Room was an iconic rock venue in the inner city suburb of Kings Cross in Sydney in the early 1980's. It was located at 15 Springfield avenue and operated until 1990 when the venue changed its name to Springfields.
In 1979 the building became known as The Manzil Room and became one of Kings Cross’ iconic rock venues hosting bands until it became Springfields in 1990. Hoodoo Gurus, Paul Kelly and Pseudo Echo were just some of the famous Australian bands that played there. From the early 1990s, it was a budget backpacker accommodation, but in 2015 it was refurbished to become the boutique art deco apartment hotel we see today.
